Preliminary 2013 Agenda

The Indiana Office of the State Fire Marshal & the State of Indiana invites you to join us in downtown Indianapolis for the 2013 NASFM annual conference.

Indianapolis, the “Crossroads of America” and the capital city of the State of Indiana is conveniently located in the Midwest, one day’s driving distance from half the nation’s population and an ideal spot for our 2013 meeting.

Downtown Indianapolis is just minutes away from the Indianapolis International Airport (www.indianapolisairport.com) and within walking distance to numerous attractions for you to visit during your stay (www.in.gov/visitindiana) / (www.indydt.com).

While we are working on developing a valuable agenda focused on enhancing our offices’ capabilities in public safety; let’s not ignore the fact that Indy's reputation as a sporting capital is well deserved – whether it’s professional sports or motorsports events. Indy is home to the Indiana Pacers NBA basketball team, the NFL Indianapolis Colts team, the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association), the WNBA Indiana Fever, and the Indianapolis Indians just to mention a few.

Indy isn’t just about sports - the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis (the world's largest) is here, North America’s largest water clock (over 17 feet tall) is located on the north side of the Indiana State Museum. Don’t miss the Canal Walk, the Zoo, the 284-foot Soldiers' & Sailors' Monument at Monument Circle, the White River State Park (the only urban state park in Indiana) downtown and the many other attractions in this great city all of which are within walking distance of the Hotel.

It would be a shame not to take a few extra days to explore all that makes Indianapolis what it is.
